- Share what you know firsthand, truthfully and kindly.
- A first review waits for a check, whatever its stars. No review is hidden for being negative.
- A correction publishes when two people agree. Anything that could take a place off the map waits for a person.
- No harassment and no private details. No forums, matrimonial listings or housing ads.
- See a problem? Report it on the page, or write to [email protected].

The spirit of it
This site works because people tell each other what is true about a place. Be the helpful neighbor at the masjid door: exact, kind and calm.
We inform; we never rule. Posts that give religious rulings, or that attack a school of thought, a masjid or a community, are not published.
Reviews
- Sign in to write a review. One review per person per place.
- Review your own experience: the food, the service, the space, the welcome. Not rumors, and not someone else's story.
- The first review from an account is held for a check before it shows, whatever its stars. After one of your reviews is approved, your next ones publish at once.
- We never hold, hide or remove a review because it is negative.
- Owners can reply to reviews of their place.
- Your display name shows with your review. Nothing else about you does.
- Anyone signed in can report a review. A person checks every report.
- Paid placement never changes a review or the order of reviews.
- A concern about whether a place is halal goes through the halal report on the place's page, not a review, so the owner can answer it.
Corrections and quick reports
- Anyone can tap "Still here". It shows as a count, and it does not change a record by itself.
- Other reports need a signed-in account at least 7 days old. Each account can send up to 10 reports a day, and up to 3 for one place in a month.
- When two different accounts report the same new hours within 30 days, the fix publishes by itself, unless the owner or masjid has set that detail. Then a person decides. A new phone number always waits for a person. When new hours publish this way, the people who run the place get an email saying what changed and that two visitors reported it, never who.
- A moved map pin always waits for a person, because a pin moves the map and, for a masjid, its prayer times.
- "Closed" reports never remove a place. One report opens a check. Two add a dated note to the page, such as "Reported closed by two visitors on March 3", while a person checks.
- Reports never change iqamah or Jumu'ah times, which belong to the masjid, and never change a halal label. Those reports go to a person and, where it helps, to the masjid or the owner.
Adding a place
- Masjids, prayer spaces and Muslim-owned businesses on the coast are welcome.
- A new place from someone we do not know yet waits for a person to check it.
- Give the address the public uses. Never add a person's private home.
Halal reports
- Say what you saw, not a verdict: "The menu says the chicken is hand-slaughtered." "Pork is on the menu."
- For a place the Halal Community Council has verified, your concern goes to HCC's own form, and HCC handles it in its own case system.
- For any other place, a person reviews your report, the label shows "Under review", and the owner is invited to answer.
- Report facts. Do not accuse a business of lying, and do not name its staff.
- See How we label halal for what each label means.
Events
- Events open to the community are welcome: classes, iftars, Eid prayers, talks and gatherings.
- An event you submit is checked before it shows.
- A masjid can link its own calendar. After its first import is approved, its events appear by themselves.
Deals and job posts
- Deals are posted by the business that offers them, and each one has an end date no more than 366 days after it starts. Expired deals come down every night.
- Job posts are checked before they show, and every post has an end date. You must be 18 or older to post one.
- Job posts must follow federal and state employment law, including equal-opportunity law. A masjid or another religious organization may require the Muslim faith for a religious role, such as imam, Quran teacher or chaplain. No one else may state a religious requirement.
Classifieds
- Every classified is checked before it shows, and each one has an end date. You must be 18 or older to post one.
- Replies come to you through our relay, so you do not need to put your phone number or email address in the ad.
- Housing ads are not accepted for now. Housing law has strict rules on how ads are worded, and we want a lawyer to read our rules first.
- Sell only what is legal and yours to sell.
What is never allowed
- Harassment, threats or hate toward anyone, Muslim or not.
- Private details: a person's home address, a private phone number, or anything that identifies someone who has not chosen to be named.
- Pretending to be someone else, or to speak for a place you do not run.
- Fake reviews, reviews of your own business, and reviews given in exchange for anything.
- Spam, scams and automated posting.
- Sexual content.
Left out on purpose
There are no forums, matrimonial listings or housing ads. Forums and matrimonial listings need full-time moderation, and neither helps someone find a place. Housing ads wait for a lawyer's eye on our posting rules.
Masjid pages
- A masjid page shows only what the masjid itself publishes, and never a private phone number.
- A masjid can claim its page for free and keep its times, programs, janazah contact, women's space, parking and access up to date.
When something breaks the rules
- A person reviews every report. Plain rules sort the queue, and no AI reads what you post.
- We may decline a post, remove it, or block an account. A removed post is sealed in our archive for 90 days and then erased, so a mistake can be undone.
- During a wave of spam, we may pause reviews or new posts for a while. Posts already stored are untouched.
- If you think we got it wrong, write to [email protected]. Most decisions can be reopened within 7 days.
